Lead Statuses Explained
What each lead status means and when Mail Maya assigns them.
Every lead in Mail Maya has a status that reflects where they are in your outreach process. Understanding these statuses helps you manage your pipeline clearly.
Not Started
The lead exists in Mail Maya but has not been added to any campaign yet, or is in a campaign that has not started sending to them yet.
In Sequence
The lead is actively enrolled in a campaign and is receiving (or waiting to receive) emails. Mail Maya will continue sending follow-up steps to this lead according to the campaign schedule.
Replied
Mail Maya detected a reply from this lead via IMAP. All future automated emails to this lead in the campaign are stopped. This is the desired outcome — a reply means the conversation has moved to a human level.
Bounced
An email to this lead was returned as undeliverable. This usually means the email address does not exist or the inbox is full. Mail Maya stops sending to bounced leads automatically.
Unsubscribed
The lead has unsubscribed via the unsubscribe link. Mail Maya will never send another email to an unsubscribed lead, regardless of which campaign they are added to.
Tip: Regularly review your Bounced leads and remove them from future campaigns. A high bounce rate is one of the fastest ways to damage your sender reputation.
