What Happens When a Lead Replies

How Mail Maya handles replies and stops the sequence automatically.

When a lead replies to any email in your campaign, Mail Maya detects it automatically via IMAP and takes action immediately.

What Mail Maya does

1. Marks the lead's status as Replied
2. Cancels all pending follow-up steps for that lead in that campaign
3. Records the reply event in your Activity log

What you should do

Check your connected inbox directly (in Gmail, Outlook, etc.) to read and respond to the reply. The Unibox section in Mail Maya also shows you incoming replies across all connected accounts in one place.

Replies and other campaigns

A reply stops the sequence only for the campaign it was detected in. If the same lead is in multiple campaigns, the other campaigns are not affected. You can manually update the lead's status to Replied from the Leads page to stop all active sequences.

Tip: Aim to respond to replies within a few hours. Leads who receive a reply to their automated response while the conversation is fresh convert at a much higher rate.
